Clayton Public School District is proud to celebrate Clayton High School student-athlete Alexus Paden for being recognized as a 2026 Positive Athlete Award Winner in New Jersey.

Positive Athlete selected Alexus as one of the top “Most Positive Athletes” in New Jersey following a highly competitive nomination process that included more than 15,000 student-athlete nominations submitted nationwide. According to the organization, only a small percentage of nominees receive award recognition.

The Positive Athlete program honors students who demonstrate leadership, character, teamwork, resilience, and a commitment to serving others both on and off the field. Alexus was recognized for exemplifying the organization’s core values, including optimism, encouragement, respect, teamwork, service, and leadership.

A dedicated multi-sport athlete representing Clayton High School in wrestling, softball, and field hockey, Alexus continues to make CPSD proud through her hard work, sportsmanship, and positive impact within the school community.
