Clayton Public School District is proud to announce that we have been awarded funding through the New Jersey Learning Acceleration Program: High-Impact Tutoring Grant – Cohort 3. This grant is part of a statewide $7.5 million investment supporting high-impact tutoring programs in 55 school districts and charter schools across New Jersey.
Through this initiative, CPSD will expand tutoring opportunities in English Language Arts and Mathematics after school during the 2026–2027 school year, providing students in grades 3-8 with opportunities for:
✨ Small-group instruction with highly qualified tutors
✨ Frequent tutoring sessions
✨ Data-driven academic support
✨ Learning aligned with classroom instruction
We are grateful to the New Jersey Department of Education for investing in programs that help students grow, succeed, and reach their full potential.

During the 2025–2026 school year, Clayton Public School District proudly launched the Literacy Initiative for Families and Thriving Communities (LIFT) Grant - a $40,000 initiative focused on strengthening early literacy, school readiness, and family engagement.
Thanks to the success of the program and the strong partnerships built along the way, the initiative will continue into the 2026–2027 school year!
Through LIFT, CPSD families have access to:
✨ Literacy on the Go Kits
✨ Early Years University family sessions
✨ An annual Early Years Resource & Literacy Fair
✨ Board books and caregiver literacy workshops
The initiative also connects families with valuable educational, health, and community resources through partnerships with Trinity Learning Center, Gloucester County Library System, ACENDA, Gloucester County Human Services, and Gloucester County Social Services.
