Hello Clayton Parents and Guardians, We have seen an increase in the number of students needing to be sent home, as well as an increase in the flu and stomach virus in the community. I would like to remind everyone that if your child has had a fever, vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours they should not return to school. Please also remember they need to be fever free without medication in order to return to school. If they are not feeling well in the morning it is better to keep them home and see their doctor than send them to the nurses office once they arrive at school. Let's work together to keep our students and community healthy. Thank you, Mr. Slater CHS Principal

Greetings Clipper Family, As we enter into the upcoming three day weekend, I think it is vital that you all understand why exactly we do not have school on Monday. The third Monday in January, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, is a federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an extraordinary American who championed civil rights and peacefully advocated for equality. I would like to encourage all of you to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King by volunteering to serve others and to improve your community. Dr. King said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?" Let us continue to be inspired by Dr. King’s words and choose to serve others this upcoming holiday. Respectfully, Mr. Slater
