As we head into the season of colds and flu, let’s remember one of the simplest (and most powerful!) ways to stay healthy: handwashing.
👉 Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds—especially before eating, after coughing/sneezing, and after using the restroom.
👉 Handwashing helps prevent the spread of colds, flu, and other germs that can impact learning.
👉 When soap and water aren’t available, hand sanitizer is a great backup.
Together, we can keep our classrooms safe, healthy, and ready for learning. 💙

Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families forever changed on September 11, 2001.
As a school community, we reflect on the importance of unity, resilience, and compassion. We are grateful to all first responders and service members who continue to protect and serve.

I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding our Middle School 21st Century After-School Program. Unfortunately, due to federal cuts in grant funding, we will no longer be able to continue offering this program for the upcoming school year.
We recognize that this program has provided valuable academic support, enrichment activities, and a safe environment for many of our students. We understand the impact it may have on both our students and their families.
Our District has been actively exploring alternative options for after-school support and activities. In the coming weeks, we will share information about any community partnerships, school-based opportunities, or resources that may help fill the gap created by this change.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate this transition.

To create the best learning environment possible, Clayton Public School District is introducing Device-Free Zones for all middle and high school students.
Here’s what to expect each school day:
✅ Turn your phone/watch OFF or place on Airplane Mode
✅ Place phone, watch & earbuds in your Yondr Pouch
✅ Secure your pouch and store it in your backpack or locker
✅ Unlock your pouch at the end of the school day
🚫 Smartphones, smartwatches, and AirPods are not permitted for use during the school day.
